The third major of the year took place this weekend with our men’s captains prize (Mr. Mark Curley). There was a tremendous turnout with over 150 players and despite the heavy rain on Saturday night, this did not affect the fantastic scores that were posted. The winner, Bernard Brady, posted a fabulous score of 49 points after 18 holes securing his place for the final nine.

Next Thursday 23rd August sees the start of our Open Waltz Am Am. Our main sponsor is O Tooles Suoervalu , Tuam. As this competition proved very successful in the past, our captains are delighted to run this again this year from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th August incl. Team of four 80 euro. Re-entry 10 euro per person. Ladies/Gents or mixed (with a prize for best ladies team). Excellent prizes. The format for this is 1 score on 1st, 2 scores on 2nd and 3 scores on 3rd. There was no winner of our lotto last week. Numbers drawn were 2, 26, 31, 32. Next weeks lotto is a whopping 18,200 euro. Congratulations to Dolores Campbell, Dympna Fahy and John Nestor who were our lucky dip winners.
