Saturday Club
There was a great turnout for the Christmas outing of the Saturday Club ‘bottles’ at Tuam Golf Club. Michael Mulryan was in tremendous form as he returned an impressive 31 points for 12 holes.
It was obvious that his recent golfing adventure to the Algarve paid dividends as he completed the round in just two over par. A total of 43 played in the event.
Result (12 holes): 1, Michael Mulryan (11) 31; 2, Martin Murphy (13) 29; 3, Brendan Cummins (19) 27; 4, Liam Tully (13) 27; 5, Johnny Mulryan (19) 27; 6, PJ Murphy (20) 27; 7, Jack Treacy (22) 26; 8, Francis Canavan (23) 25; 9, Mick O’Connell (18) 25; 10, Oliver McDonagh (8) 25.
Saturday Club Captain PJ Murphy said that he was delighted with the turnout and announced Galway Bay fm’s Gerry Murphy as his successor next year.
