Sunday 29th January is Captains and Presidents Drive In day at Tuam Golf club. There will be a shot gun start at 1pm and the format is a 9 hole scramble. As this is a fun social event there will be a draw for partners. New members and beginners are especially invited to play. The sheet for names is in the main hallway. If, in the event of inclement weather or the course being unplayable the Drive In will go ahead( without the scramble) and there will be festivities in the bar and restaurant

The mens January league continues next weekend and the Saturday club results for 14 January are 1st. Jack Treacy 25pts, 2nd Gerry Fahy 23pts, 3rd Seamus Treacy 21pts and Gross Danny McGrath 20pts.

Members may have noticed that new chainsaw has been working. Several trees at the toilets have been taken down due to the fact that they were in danger of falling. Some leylandii have also been removed from the course and more due to be felled over the coming weeks. It is intended to offer this timber to the members for sale once it is seasoned.

Annual subs are now due.

The LOTTO is now nearing the €10,000 mark….are you a member? Membership is open to anybody and costs €100 per year. Payments can be made directly in the bar/office or via standing order on an annual, half yearly, quarterly or monthly basis. If the lotto is not won 3 members win £20 every week.
