Tickets are €20 and 1 lucky ticket holder is guaranteed to win €1000 in the buster draw on the night. The odds are very good for this great prize!! This is a new and different but major club fundraiser so all members are asked to support the evening which promises to be a fun night.
Sunday the 26th will be the Captains drive out. The format is a 9 hole fun team event with a shot gun start at 1pm. Sign up sheet for partners is on the notice board. Plenty of festive treats and Christmas Jumpers can be dusted down for the day.
The LOTTO still has to be won. It is now €14,200 . Why not treat that impossible to buy for person to membership…. weekly, monthly or annual for as little as €2 a week.
The mass for deceased members is on Friday 17th November @ 7.30pm. We invite friends of Larry Smyth to join us as his wife Deirdre is travelling from Cork for the mass.
Congratulations to our juniors once again…. Ross Kelly won the Junior Golfer of the Year (U18) order of merit and Jack Davin and Dara Cunningham have been included on the Connacht coaching panel..
Saturday Club
There was a modest turn-out for the Saturday Club outing at Tuam Golf Club as the adverse weather conditions took their toll. However, it did not prove a hindrance for young Mark Colleran, the Saturday Club’s newest member, as he shot 21 points for 10 holes which was a tremendous score in the circumstances. He will be a force to be reckoned with for the season ahead.
The Saturday Club resumes on this coming Saturday, November 18 and new members are always welcome. The traditional bottles outing has been fixed for Saturday, December 16. An away outing in the New Year will also be finalised.
