There was no winner of our lotto worth 16,000 euro. Numbers drawn were 4, 9, 19 and 26. Our Easter lotto will now be 16,100 euro so get playing. This would be a nice win to start the golfing year!! Congratulations to Joe & Noreen Rushe, James Hurley and Rae Gilmore who were our lucky dip winners.
Our annual drive-in took place on Sunday with a fantastic turnout of members. Over 130 members played in what was ideal spring conditions. Our captains Mark and Dolores and President Mike thanked everyone for attending and congratulated the winners. The format was a four ball scramble which always generates great fun among the members . Our course was in fantastic condition and our President Mike thanked our Greenkeeper Mark Kinnevey, Peter Begley and Jarlath McHugh for their Trojan work on the course.

After 19 years working on the course of Tuam Golf Club, our great worker Jarlath McHugh is retiring. Jarlath has been a huge asset to our club and we are going to miss him. At our drive in , our captains and President made a small presentation to Jarlath to show our appreciation for all his years of service. Our Vice President Sr. Agnes Curley made a beautiful Easter bonnet cake with scenes from Jarlaths time in Tuam Golf Club.
Goats were out in fine form last week. They had a 3 ball scramble competition.

Good Friday/holy Saturday weekend competition will be used as sponsorship for the 3 juniors from Tuam gc representing St.Jarlaths College in the Irish junior schools championship at the end of April. The juniors competing are Mark Colleran, Jack Davin and Darragh Cunningham. Please support.
Saturday Club
There was a good turnout for the Saturday Club at Tuam Golf Club with John Burke firing a one under par total for 12 holes to secure victory.

We resume with a 16 hole competition this weekend to coincide with the Easter Open at Tuam Golf Club. A reminder that the ‘away’ outing takes place at Galway Bay Golf and Country Club on Saturday week, April 7. Travelling members are asked to pay the €50 entry fee in advance to either Declan Tierney or TP in the pro shop.
We would like to thank the 70 members of the Saturday Club for their continued support throughout the Autumn, Winter and Spring. It is a means of keeping us playing golf when weather conditions are often not that favourable but it remains an important part of the overall club.
Junior Golf
Junior day has now been moved from Monday morning to Sunday from 2:30 onwards.
Open qualifying competition has now been introduced and will commence on the 15/4/18 until the 26/8/18.
Local club juniors competition will be starting on the 1/7/18 until the 26/8/18

The ladies have the first 18 hole Stableford sponsored competition of the year kindly sponsored by Seamus Walsh Pharmacy. Sunday/ Monday 18 hole Stableford competition for both Men and Women is kindly sponsored by O’Tooles Supervalu.
