Wednesday open results for Wednesday 11th July There was a fine turnout for the Wednesday Open, played in beautiful weather. With the course in magnificent condition scoring was high with club secretary Brian Flesk coming out on top with 41 points (David Mahon has already “sorted” him out!!!)

The club matchplays are now in full swing and the deadline for this round of matches is almost here (with one week’s grace to follow) so please have your math played on time as we want all the finals to be played on the same day.
Juniors:
Junior 9 hole comp is now underway each Sunday from 2.30 pm. €3 entry.. all welcome.
Also junior lessons with Thomas from 11 am on Sunday mornings.
No Junior Golf on Sunday 22nd July as it is Lady Captain’s Day.

The crystals enjoyed a very successful 3-ball scramble this week with a great turn out.
The results were
1st. Mary Bollard, Tina Halloran and Elizabeth Meagher with a great score of 35.2 2nd. Rita Tierney, Mary Holian, and Mary Canavan with 36 3rd. Maureen Donnelly, Carmel Niland, and Eileen Heverin with 36.6 Congratulations and well done to all who took part. We will have another scramble in August due to popular demand.
There was no winner of our lotto jackpot last week. Numbers drawn were 2, 8, 24, 28. Congratulations to Michael & Joan Tighe, Eileen Coyne and Susie McGuire who were our lucky dip winners. Some renewals are now due. If any members are interested in signing up for lotto please contact Evelyn or Ann. 3 months 25 euro, 6 months 50 euro and 12 months 100 euro. We welcome all new members . This weeks lotto is a massive 17,700 euro which I’m sure would come in very handy. So you know the saying “If you’re not in ……….”.
Next Sunday is our Lady Captain’s Prize. We wish our Captain Dolores Campbell the best of luck on this special day. We hope the weather is good and the golf even better. Sheet up in locker room. Draw will take place on Friday 20th. We have a special lady captains scramble on Friday evening and all are welcome. Sheet up on main notice board for scramble. Come out and support.
Our ladies are playing in the Connacht semi final of the minor cup against Co Sligo in Longford on Thursday next 19th July at 3.30 pm. We wish them and their Captains all the very best of luck. If you can come along and show your support it would be greatly appreciated.
