In the glorious sunshine our ladies enjoyed the last big event of the year, The Ann Marie McHugh Memorial Trophy & Lady Members Day. We thank The McHugh Family for sponsoring first prize on this special day. We had a great turnout and the wet weather on Saturday did not spoil the great golf on Sunday with Clare O Halloran bringing in a tremendous score of 39 points.

Golfer of the Year, kindly sponsored by Grogan Travel, was won by Ann Treacy who started the season on a handicap of 24 and with much good golf came down to 19. Runner up was Siobhan Joyce and 3rd was Breege Finnerty. The men’s competition was sponsored by JOHNNY RYAN PHOTOGRAPHY and despite Saturday being a wash-out there was a large entry. Adrian Malloy came out on top beating Frank Clancy by a point. CSS was 36 points. 1. Adrian Molloy (22) 38 pts. 2. Frank Clancy (26) 37 pts b/d. 3. Aidan Donnellan (15) 37 pts. The gross was won by the ever popular Kilkenny hurler John Wall playing off 7 with 29 gross points. Next weekend is the last of this year’s sponsored competitions and is the final golfer of the year, where Morgan Lynch is looking good to be crowned champion golfer. Martin Fallon and Declan King are also in contention.
The Wednesday Open has now finished for this year.

There was no winner of our lotto last week so this weeks lotto is a massive 19,000 euro. Lotto envelopes are displayed in the bar and also in the main hall of Golf Club. Numbers drawn were 2, 17, 18, 32. Congratulations to Pete Quinn, Lily O’Loughlin and Joseph Dolan who were our lucky dip winners.
