Winter League
The winter league final took place at the weekend and there was a very large entry with over one hundred playing between the men and ladies. With two cards to count there was a lot of pressure on the qualifiers and Sheila Mahon put in a magic round of golf to carry her team to victory along with Michael Brannelly and Martin Murphy with a total score of 62 points winning by two from the O Connor family where both Kevin and Darren had 30 points each. In third place, beaten on a breakdown, were Michael o Connell, P J Murphy and Annette Dolan. Winner of the league section Jimmy McHugh will have to have a good chat with Ronan and Anthony!!! Thanks to all that took part over the winter in the competition which proved to be very popular and will be run again next year (with a few little tweaks and changes!).

The club competition was won by Dermot Fahy with the huge score of 35 points, winning easily from the in-form Tommy Fleming. John Bodkin won the gross going around in one UNDER par with Sean Byrnes coming second.

This week the men are running a FOURBALL BETTERBALL from Tuesday to Sunday over holes 1–16 and the handicap allowance is FOUR FIFTHS. The following weekend will be a two ball scramble and the first 18 hole competition will be run over St. Patrick’s weekend.

Saturday Club
We had a very healthy 36 playing in the Saturday Club last weekend. We played 14 holes and Dermot Fahy was the winner with an incredible 35 points.

1 Dermot Fahy (23) 35; 2, John Bodkin (5) 32; 3, Brendan Cummins (19) 31; 4, Michael O’Connell (16) 31.
