There was a large entry for MURPHY’S CENTRE competition despite the wind and rain. Birdies were aplenty for Sean Acton and Peter Ryan Jnr with seven between them and Sean coming out on top on the breakdown.

Congratulations to the two Connacht Trophy teams that played in the qualifying round last Wednesday. The team in Loughrea finished 5th and the team in Enniscrone were beaten on a breakdown for a place in the final. Our junior Foursomes were in hard luck on Saturday when they were beaten on the 18th against Ballyhaunis. The best of luck to our Minor Cup team who are out on Thursday against Westport.
The Crystal Club held their A.G.M on the 18th of April and a new committee was put in place. Out going Captain Helen Byrne was commended on the great work done by her during her Captaincy. Last Thursday saw a geat turnout of Crystals for their first game of the year, the sun shone, the course was in great trim and the results for 10 holes speak for themselves .
