Junior Golf
It was rejoicing all round for officers and members of Tuam Golf Club on Saturday morning last as the junior golfers returned for the first time after Covid-19 lockdown to resume their summer golf with professional Thomas Niland.
The junior conveners Ray Gilmore and Maria Coen with Captain Gerry Cunningham and Lady Captain Ann Higgins were there to officially welcome the many young people who turned up.
Social distancing was observed and each young student was individually hand sanitised. Over the course of two hours the group were given lessons in swinging, chipping and putting and, with parents and members looking on, the atmosphere was great.
If any parent wants their child involved in junior golf over the summer contact Tuam Golf Club at 093-28993. The office is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm.
