Despite poor weather there was a huge turnout for the final 18 hole competition of the season, our Champagne Scramble. Scoring was exceptional and winners on a breakdown were Declan King, Martin Murphy, and John Kelly with 98 points (helped by 3 birdies from Declan). In second, also with 98 points were David Scully, his brother Adrian and uncle Joe. Best of the ladies teams were Margaret Gilligan, Evelyn Ronayne and Mary McDonagh with 78 points.

Saturday Club
The Saturday Club at Tuam Golf Club kicks off on this coming Saturday, November 6 and it is envisaged that it will continue throughout the remainder of the year and into the early part of next year.
It is once again a privilege to have Mark Curley as Captain of the Saturday Club. Mark served last year but the season was curtailed due to the pandemic but it is hoped that competitions will continue over the coming months.
It is also hoped that the Saturday will culminate in an eagerly anticipated ‘away’ outing at the end of the season.
It’s €10 to enter, including first day’s competition, and just €5 thereafter. Members of the Saturday Club are encouraged to double up by playing in the club competition as well.
The Saturday Club will be run as a 14 hole competition and prizes are available for the first four nett scores.
