Men’s Results 5/3/23:
Our weekend competition, which incorporated the winter league final, was won by John Quinn who had 42 points to beat winter league winner Martin Kelly on a breakdown. Third is Joe Muĺlally (who had birdies on holes 1 and 5) with a score of 38 points. Gross was won by Danny McGrath whose birdies on 3, 8, 15 and 18 helped him to 31 gross points. Great scoring by all four players.
We are running a CHAMPAGNE SCRAMBLE for St. Patrick’s weekend with teams of three and two scores to count on each hole. Visitors an guests are welcome to participate.
A hugely entertaining and enjoyable winter league finished this weekend and it finished in style with Martin Kelly (15) bringing in a whopping 42 points to add to his teammate Donal Collin’s score of 32 for a total of 74 points. Martin put in a career best round of 1 over par. This wins by three from Mark Kerrisk, Shane o Sullivan, and Declan Mulligan who tied for second with Tom McHugh, Gary Nalty, and Jimmy McHugh both teams on 71 points. Brilliant scoring for 15 holes.
Thank you to all who participated in the league and helping to make it the success it was and we look forward to an even bigger entry next October.

Saturday Club
There was a good crowd for last weekend’s outing with Danny McGrath shooting an impressive one under par for the 15-hole competition playing of a 7 handicap to emerge the winner.
Result (15 holes): 1, Danny McGrath (7) 37; 2, Seamus Treacy (23) 36; 3, Kevin Scully (23) 35; 4, Christy Tighe (26) 34. Bottles: John Ger Davin, Denis Kingston and John Bodkin.
The Saturday Club will be making a contribution towards development works taking place on the tees. Well done to Course Manager John O’Halloran for his initiative in this regard.
GOATS
A total of 30 played in the GOATS outing with Jimmy Meehan being the clear winner. Result (15 holes) 1, Jimmy Meehan 39; 2, Jerry Desmond 35; 3, Frank Holliman 34; 4, Michael Casserly 34. The GOATS will contribute €400 toward the works on the tees.
LOTTO
There were no winners of our lotto jackpot worth €1,800 euro. Numbers drawn were 8, 12, 14, 19. Congratulations to Bridie Burke who was our match 3 winner.
