Mens results 22/10/23
This weekend we had the last 18 holes singles tourney of the season. Our winner (winning his first ever comp) is Jarlath Mangan (34) with 41 points. Then we had seven players all on 40 points; the best of these, and coming second, is Tom Kelly (24), with Ronan O Neill (10) next best in third. Fourth, after a long absence from the podium, is Ger Keane (18) also with 40 points. Gross goes to Alan Moran who had 33 gross points (going around in 3 over par despite 3 double bogies).
Next weekend is we are having a team of three Am-Am with 2 scores to count at each hole. The entry book, along with the rules is beside the computer in the locker-room. Visitors are welcome and re-entry is allowed.
Our Winter League starts on November 10th and the draw (based on low, middle and high handicaps) will be held on November 5th after the captains drive-out.

Saturday Club
The first outing of the Saturday Club took place at the weekend and, not surprising, the scoring was hot. It was long time Saturday Club member Seamus Treacy who emerged victorious but he had just one shot to spare over his playing partner Tom McHugh while Michael Barrett was third on a breakdown. Result (10 holes): 1st Seamus Treacy (23) 25; 2nd, Tom McHugh (16) 24; 3rdMichael Barrett (17) 23. Bottles: Gerry Murphy, Martin Casserly, Declan Tierney. Saturday Club continues this coming Bank Holiday weekend.
Goats Golf
Almost 30 retired members of Tuam Golf Club participated in the Goats outing and, once again, the scoring was impressive. Result (16 holes): 1st Michael Barrett 41pts; 2nd Pat Casey 37pts; 3rd Luke Tighe 37pts; 4th John Daly 35pts.
Lotto
There were no winners of our lotto jackpot worth €5,100. Numbers drawn were 2, 24, 26, 30. Congratulations to Mary Davin who was our lucky dip winner.
