Despite the poor weather conditions we had a great entry over the three days for our weekend competition (incorporating the first round of the winter league)… and scoring was a lot lower than last weekend…!! Our winner, on 34 points, is Michael Casserly (21). Second is John Bodkin (8) also on 34 points (a round which included birdies on 8 and 17). Third is Shane Conlisk (18), again with 34 points (a double bogey on the last proving costly).
A word of thanks to our green keeper Paddy and his crew for the tremendous work and effort in managing to keep the course open and playable despite the non stop rainfall.

Saturday Club
Despite the adverse weather forecast, there was a good turnout for the Saturday Club at Tuam Golf Club. Gerry Bodkin was the winner on the breakdown from Michael Casserly with both having 35 points for 14 holes.

Saturday Club Captain, John Ger Davin, announced that the Christmas bottles outing will take place on Saturday, December 9.
Competition resumes this coming weekend and there is the option to play on Friday if that suits.
