Winners of this weekend’s competition, which was categories, are: Overall: Joe Mannion(34) 37 pts Cat 1 (0-9): Danny McGrath (6) 27pts Cat 2 (10-17): Dean Farragher (17) 30pts. Cat 3 (18-22): Jimmy McHugh (19) 33pts. Cat 4 (23+): Glen Creaven 35pts (b/d). Next weekend’s competition will again be over 14 holes and incorporates the final round of the winter league.

Saturday Club
More than 30 played in the weekend’s Saturday Club outing and it was not surprising that the scoring was impressive. Well done to Vincent Ryder who eclipsed Jimmy McHugh on the breakdown. It was a packed field as the scoring was very impressive. A lot of members are obviously preparing for the ‘away’ outing on Saturday, April 13 in Ballinrobe. Timesheet is currently available with just early times to be availed of. It may seem a long way off but there is major enthusiasm for the event at which Captain John Ger Davin will announce his successor.

Golf Lotto

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot worth €6,700 at Tuam Golf Club. Numbers drawn were 13, 28, 31, 32. The lucky dip winner of €50 was Eddie Campbell.

The retired members of Tuam Golf Club braved the extremely cold conditions for a three-ball scramble which was well supported. Result (10 holes): 1st John Ger Davin, Frank O’Neill, Martin Connor; 2nd, John Daly, Pat Casey, Roger Broderick; 3rd, Gerry Cunningham, Padraic O’Neill, Mattie Gannon.
