There was a large entry for the pre-Christmas competition and with great weather conditions and the course in great shape scoring was very high. Not only can Ivan Mooney walk on water but so can his golf ball as witnessed by his unbelieving paying partners on Saturday on the seventeenth… and duly tapped in the birdie putt. It was tough luck on Neilus Buckley, Danny McGrath and Sean Byrnes all of whom had great scores on the day but didn’t feature.

Round four of the winter league takes place over Christmas week from Wednesday to Sunday when thankfully weather conditions are promised good.
