Mens Results 24/9/23 Club Competition
Despite the poor weather there was a large entry for our weekend competition with a lot of players going out Fri and Sat. Our winner, putting in his best ever round of golf, is Donal Cunningham (8) with a massive 45 points (one under par). Second, on a breakdown, is Michael Brannelly (22) with 38 points. Third, having already dropped 6 shots this season, is David Mahon (18) also on 38…. the lessons from Donal obviously helping. Fourth, again on a breakdown, is veteran Sean Doyle (16) with 37 points. Gross winner, despite two blow-outs, is Alan Gough (6) with 31 gross points & Stephen Cotter (15) continues his excellent form by winning the New Members prize with 36 pts.

Next weekend’s comp is sponsored by Arachas Insurance and is the third last of the golfer of the year tourneys.

Finally, this year’s Winter League starts on the second weekend in November and once again will be teams of three with just one score to count each weekend. The entry sheet will be up in the locker-room from October 1st.

There were no winners of our lotto jackpot worth €4,700. Numbers drawn were 2, 16, 17, 22. Congratulations to Anne Treacy Snr who was our lucky dip winner.
